How does the registration process work?
Registration is completed in just a few steps. The initial login is performed using ID Austria; afterwards, you can also sign in flexibly using your wallet.

Initial login with ID Austria
The first access is carried out using your existing ID Austria. This government-issued digital identity ensures secure and unambiguous authentication.
ID Austria is only required for the initial onboarding.

Set up your digital identity once
After the initial login, you can link your ID Austria to a digital wallet on your smartphone. This enables secure and self-sovereign use of the data intermediary.
The wallet setup is required only once and, once linked, is equivalent to using ID Austria.

Sign in flexibly afterwards
After the setup, you can sign in either via ID Austria or via your wallet – without any additional user accounts or passwords.
